The online reviews of others were glowing for this place under recently new ownership. And the whole experience was a notch above the ordinary – friendly, bubbly staff, music playing, clean and inviting premises…
The flake and chips (I chose regular salt, chicken salt is also an option) cost just $7.50 and took just 6 1/2 minutes to cook.
Yet again my request for well done seems to have fallen on deaf ears…
The fish was edible, but under-cooked enough for the ensemble to collapse when I picked it up – the fish just slid out of the batter when I broke it open to cool.
Chips were on the dry side and not more-ish.
This places scores a lowly 5/10. I’ll give them another chance one day.
